Summer Junior Counselor Program

Durango Nature Studies employs high school students in the summer as interns for our popular Junior Naturalist Field Camp (JNFC) for kids K-5th grades.  It is an excellent way for high school students to gain work experience and responsibility, build confidence and maturity, as well as build their resume.

Details:
– The position comes with a paid stipend.
– The position is competitive and requires an interview.
– First preference is given to the previous years’ interns.  Interns can build their pay and responsibilities each year they participate.
– Second preference is given to kids that have participated in JNFC as a camper.
– Interns can work all five sessions or a minimum of 2 sessions.
– Interns must participate in a full day training.
