2018 Training Schedule:
Wednesday, January 10: 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm at the Durango Public Library
Friday, January 12: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm at Haviland Lake/Chris Park trails
Our Winter Volunteer Program trains participants to teach our award winning Surviving and Thriving in Winter Program for 4th graders and 6th graders.
On the first night you will receive your teaching manual and become oriented to the program. On the full day at Haviland Lake, you will observe our instructors teach a school program in the morning, then break down the content and activities in the afternoon.
Volunteers will be able to pick their own schedule. We ask that volunteers choose at least 4 volunteer days throughout our winter season, which takes place during the end of January through February.
